Spiritual Disciplines: Radical Generosity ~ The Heart Matters Greatly

In today’s message from God’s Word, we will turn to Acts 1:1-11. We will discuss and further emphasize the importance of the motivations behind our generosity, illustrating that true giving stems from a heart transformed by love for God and others. Using the history of Cain and Abel and Ananias and Sapphira, it will highlight how our intentions matter more than the outward appearance of our gifts. Emphasizing the deceitful nature of our hearts, we will be warned against performing mental gymnastics to justify our actions and encouraged to be honest and sacrificial in our giving. Ultimately, it calls us to embrace radical generosity as a spiritual discipline that reflects God’s character and advances His kingdom.
