Hello Parents….
For this adventure, there will be no Physical travel …its imagination time travel back to a bible story of your child’s choosing. They are going to pick any Bible story and then…only using items found in their household, recreate a scene that tells the story. We ask that you take a picture to capture their creative expression of the bible story and send it to kidmin@chogexeter.org by May the 31st along with what the Bible story is. The pictures will be posted June the 1st-5th where people can guess the Bible story.
We will then create a spreadsheet of all the kids’ Bible stories and post it on our website and Facebook page to challenge all our church members to try and guess what the different bible stories our kids have created. Make sure you show them the post so they can try to guess what the other kids’ stories are. And feel free to share the post with friends so they can guess also.
We ask that you read the story to them, setting up the atmosphere of adventure and traveling back in time. Talking about the setting in the story…the props…characters and what scene captures the story. Encourage them to use their imagination with what they have…dogs, stuffed animals, Legos, blocks, pots, tables…you get the idea.
Our prayer is that this will be a fun way for in your family to get into God’s word as well as encourage, and bless our church members. Begin your journey here.
