The Office Manager is Responsible For: Serving in the established administrative ministries of the church, and developing volunteer leaders within these ministries. Seeing to the day-to-day management of the church’s facilities and proper transmission of information within the church community. Also seeing to all office management-related issues and church financial processes. Being part of a staff team that is ministry-driven and missionally-focused working towards the common mission and vision of the church community. Providing professional assistance and insight.

Core Expectations:
Serving as the Church Office Manager entails:
- Ability to work a set part-time schedule weekly with fixed office hours during the church’s normal hours of operation approximately 28 hours, and the ability to be reachable outside of normal office hours up to two hours weekly.
- Strategizing and implementing plans to help the day-to-day functions of the church to continue moving forward.
- Responsible for being the first impression for those coming to and contacting the church throughout the week by answering phones, returning/redirecting messages properly, and monitoring the church‘s general electronic mailbox and P.O. box.
- Providing professional insight into the processes and ministries taking place at the church, ensuring that all written policy and procedures are being followed properly.
- Maintain and regularly update the church directory and church publications.
- Maintain and update regularly the church’s financial records and bill-pay.
- Ensure the proper recording and paying of all bills and business accounts within the church.
- Work alongside the staff team in future and strategic planning, being part of setting goals and milestones for the church family to achieve and push towards.
- Answer and respond accordingly to all calls, messages, and mailings of the church.
- Maintain and regularly update the church directory and church publications.
- Maintain and update regularly the church’s giving records and oversee the counting and processing of all the weekly gifts and offerings collected.
- Maintain a safe and secure filing system for all church-related documents.
- Work with private contractors and volunteers to ensure the church facilities and projects are taken care of properly and effectively.
- To be present as necessary and a part of major church events and activities.
- Provide assistance to the Lead Pastor and staff in the day-to-day operations of the church as such assistance is needed. To include times outside of normal office hours.
Benefits:
As this is a part-time position benefits are as listed but may grow as hourly demand grows. It is hoped in the future for this position to become a full-time position as the church body continues to move forward in growth.
- Hourly pay determined by hours worked in and outside of the office. (Hourly rate to be discussed in the hiring process)
- Cell phone reimbursement in the amount of $50 per month to account for the need of being reachable outside of normal office hours.
- Paid Time Off / Vacation time – In accordance with the church’s policy manual and internal controls (To be discussed in the hiring process)
