At the Church of God of Exeter, we believe in the importance of empowering & equipping families & individuals to live out their lives of faith in Christ every day. We have partnered up with the D6 EveryDay. You can find out more about the D6 EveryDay below.
Through this partnership, we will focus on intergenerational united ministry for all ages & family backgrounds through a new mid-week, Family Fellowship Night, on Wednesdays. This is a brand new mid-week fellowship & discipleship time for the whole family. This night is geared towards bringing us closer together as a church family, our family of families, in our seeking & serving the Lord. There are going to be many opportunities, classes, and connections that these mid-week services will provide.
It will also provide us an opportunity to connect with one another throughout the week and live out our call given to us by Christ through Paul in 1st Thessalonians 5:11, “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.”
You may be wanting more information about what exactly this is and how to get involved. If so, you are in the right place. Below is a short FAQ explaining in detail, many of the common questions we have been asked about this up-and-coming mid-week family fellowship night.
What is D6 EveryDay?
D6 connects the church to home and families to one another. D6 is based on the principle of Deuteronomy 6:5-9—love God, love His Word, and teach your children and one another to do the same.
D6 EveryDay aligns small group environments at church, so the entire family (elementary-adult) is studying the same things simultaneously. The cool thing about this is that it does not stop at the church worship experience. This one-of-a-kind discipleship goes beyond the small group experience. It helps parents & grandparents reconnect with kids & teens by using devotional study guides, Splink (Free Downloadable App), Parent Pages, and other take-home resources that help equip the home. It also helps adults without children grow in their faith and understanding of the Gospel and their personal life of making more and better disciples in everyday situations.
D6 EveryDay cultivates generational disciple-makers to live out what they learn. D6 continues to highlight not only the story of the Bible, but also the reason why. D6 EveryDay brings a higher level of Bible engagement, laying a foundation of why, and then teaching the what & how. Deuteronomy 6:4-7, Psalm 78:6, and Ephesians 4-6 remind us of the power of church and home working together for all generations. Ministry to the next generation involves intentional effort from the current generation; D6 EveryDay makes that mission a lot easier.
What will a typical Wednesday Night look like?
A typical Wednesday night will begin in our Family Life Center, where we hold our normal Sunday morning services. We will have snacks and refreshments just like we do on Sunday mornings. This time of fellowship will begin at 6:00 PM.
After this, around 6:30 PM, we will all head to our particular classes & groups. Our adults will remain in the sanctuary while our children will head upstairs to our kids classrooms, and our youth will head to the Underground. Here in these small groups & class areas, we will have activities, teachings, and discussions relevant to our week’s topic. These will be age-appropriate to the particular small group.
Around 7:30 PM, we will all gather again in the sanctuary to conclude our evening together.
Take-home materials will be provided to families to continue the discussion from Wednesday at home.
What are the specific age groups?
We will have classes tailored to all ages, so whether you are young or old, there will be a place for you to attend & take part. Here are some of the age-specific classes we have planned;

Needless to say, there will be a place for all people no matter your age or life situation.
Do I need to attend Church of God of Exeter on Sundays to participate?
NO!!!
The Family Fellowship Night is for anyone & everyone who wants to take part. It is a mid-week opportunity to connect with other believers and other members of our community. Whether you attend church on Sunday morning here or anywhere does not matter. The doors are open for you and your family to grow in Christ together.
We do want to encourage you, if you don’t have a church family to feel welcomed to join us on Sundays. However, we want to stress this is in no way required to join us for the Family Fellowship Night.
