Advent 2024 ~ Those Who Wait: Wait with and in Love

On this final Sunday of Advent, we will highlight further the theme of waiting, connecting back to the Israelites’ anticipation of the Messiah and our current wait for His second coming.  We will emphasize the importance of love, contrasting worldly love—which is often conditional and self-serving—with God’s unconditional, selfless, and forgiving love demonstrated through Jesus. The message challenges us to love others as God loves us, particularly during this Christmas season, urging us to reflect on our relationships and dispel any bitterness or conditional love they may hold. In conclusion, it will encourage everyone to actively demonstrate love by giving time and presence, embodying the true essence of love as they await the fulfillment of God’s promises.
