Advent 2024: Those Who Wait ~ Wait with Peace
In today’s message, we will highlight the chaotic hustle of the Advent season, contrasting it with the peace that Jesus offers. It will emphasize how we look for peace in all the wrong things and that true peace is not found in worldly activities or material pursuits but in a personal relationship with Christ, the Prince of Peace. Using the prophet Micah’s word, we will remind ourselves that we can wait in peace even amidst chaos by trusting God’s promise of lasting peace. In this, we cultivate peace in and around us by choosing peace. We do this by turning our whole focus to Jesus, walking in forgiveness, living lives of reconciliation, and serving others as they prepare to celebrate the coming of the prince of peace.
