Ancient Kings & Their Legacies ~ Jeroboam’s Fear
THINK: About how choices and decisions made in fear never leads us in the paths of righteousness, in the path of living in a right relationship with God. Rather, it leads us away from this. Choices made out of fear lead us and others our choices effect away from God.
KNOW: We are called to be courageous and bold trusting in God’s will and God’s plan for our lives. Even if. Even if it would mean sacrifice. Even if it would mean suffering. Even if it would mean we wouldn’t get our way. We are called to trust and follow God’s plan above all other plans because God’s promises still and will always stand.
FEEL: A need to seek the Lord when in fear. To not rush to a plan hatched and devised from their heart. Especially from a heart of fear, but to seek fully the Lord first and foremost asking what would be His will and His way.
DO: Assess how it is the approach the various crisis and decision points of their life, and ask how they would better trust in the Lord when in places of fear at those crises and decision points in their life. For they were not given, “spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” (2nd Timothy 2:17)
