Misconception ~ God Won’t Give You More Than You Can Handle
THINK: About what the Bible actually teaches us about suffering, pain, and trials in comparison to what cultural conventional wisdom teaches us in that God won’t give us more than we can handle.
KNOW: This phrase, God won’t give you more than you can handle is a present danger in the life of faith, and is not found anywhere in the Bible. It is a cultural wisdom, which is foolishness in comparison to what the Bible actually teaches us.
FEEL: A need to reject such teachings and understand life can be overwhelming, but in this know God is presently with them and is never going to leave them. Therefore, finding peace in knowing this.
DO: Be light in a dark world, and provide correction to the misconception when heard. Know this correction, live in this correction, and find their strength, hope, and reliance on Christ in all things.

Excellent exegesis and application. We need to hear this, and also how we are to rely on the Lord when going through trails and when tempted.
