Pre-Lenten Journey 2024: Why Death?

Today, our sermon is titled “Why Death?” We will discuss why Jesus had to die and the theological significance of His sacrifice. We will emphasize the importance of preparation for the Lenten season and understanding Jesus’ purpose as a sacrifice. We will explore the biblical references that explain Jesus’ mission to save sinners and cleanse them from their sins. The sermon will address the broader question of why Jesus had to die in the first place, referencing the consequences of sin and highlighting Jesus’ role as the perfect sacrifice. It will conclude by urging us who believe in an active, transformed life in Christ and an active life of repentance.
