Psalm 51

This morning we will be reading Psalm 51 and looking into the heart of King David, a man of God. He had served God faithfully for years, but then he utterly failed. He committed adultery, he committed murder, he was deceptive and abusive with his power. His sinful behavior was horrendous and could bring an end to his service to God. But, now what? What kind of life can such a person
anticipate. Psalm 51 is King David’s testimony of what he did. It provides a backdrop for your preparation for Communion this morning. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your heart so you can hear what God is speaking to you through His word.
