The Peculiar Kingdom of God and it’s People ~ Blessed are the Meek

Today, we return to our seats and enter our time to hear and respond to a message from God’s Word. We will be continuing where we left off in the Sermon on the Mount in the beginning. Amid the beatitudes, as we will be picking up in the third beatitude today from Matthew 5:5, which speaks to us a blessed truth,

“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.”

And it is here where we see Jesus fully turning our world and our understanding of it on its head or on its feet like it should be as we discussed in week one.

We are going to be examining what meekness really is and how meekness is not being weak.  Rather, it is a great strength as it requires trust and reliance upon God.

Then we talk about the imperative need for us to live in Christlike meekness in this life.
