Our theme for our current two-year cycle is “Knowing Him,” and it comes from John 17:3,
“And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”
“And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”
We know how important it is to develop the habit of reading the Bible every day, but we also know the realities of how difficult it can be to prioritize the Word of God. We know its important. We know there are seasons of life that lend themselves to greater depth and investment of time. We also know how busy our lives can be and how doing what is right is often not very easy.
We use a daily reading plan, found below, that takes us through the Old Testament, the Psalms, and the New Testament each and every day. It will take you through the entire Bible in two years. The pace is not too slow and not too fast. We hope it will provide you a chance to begin to engage with the Word of God in new and possible ways. We hope it will help you know Him more and more so you can make Him known all the more.
If you are just starting out and only have the smallest amount of time to invest we would recommend starting with just the New Testament. If you have more time or are looking for the greater challenge, add in the Psalm next and then the Old Testament.
Regardless, join us in knowing Him.
PRAYER GUIDE
Let’s all join together in prayer corporately as we grow in our knowing of the Lord together! Then, in expectation, see what He does! God is on the move, let’s join Him in His Kingdom work. “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:24-25, ESV)
