Update From the Office

Hello family of families!

It’s so good to be able to write this letter to you. We’ve been wanting to encourage you with wonderful stories of revival and to update you with some information.

It feels like forever since we’ve been able to be together. We all miss seeing each other face to face, to hug one another, ask how things are going, and pray together. But, despite the fact that we can’t see each other in person, we’ve heard of so many wonderful stories about you! Stories of long phone calls to each other, meals provided during times of difficulty, grocery shopping done for those who can’t or shouldn’t go out, birthday wishes given from afar, zoom calls just for fun so we could “see” one another, conversations with people we’ve wanted to get to know better, homemade bread given (so much delicious bread!), many, many prayers lifted up for each other, words of encouragement written in chalk on sidewalks, drive by “visits”, zoom call bread baking sessions, an encouraging video sent to firefighters, activities for kids shared generously to help keep them busy, fabric dropped off for sewing projects to be finished, food items dropped off for those who were in need, homemade masks sewn and given out, flower bulbs and seeds shared, pen pals have been made, neighbors checked on just to see how they were doing, videos sent to someone sick in the hospital, support for our local restaurants (even buying extra to share!), letters to a nursing home, so many young moms encouraging and encouraged by each other! Wow, just wow!

The list could go on and on, we know there are so many other stories that we don’t know about! The outpouring of care for one another and our city has been inspiring and beyond heartwarming. But, better than that, we’ve been the hands and feet of Jesus! Our mission field has been each other and our city, and so many in our city have seen the heart of Jesus. Without four walls, we are being the church. This, family of families, is the church!

We also want to update you by letting you know that the safety concerns we originally had about taking a physical offering have been taken care of. So those of you that would like to send in your tithe via check to the church can now do so and are not limited by just online giving through our website. Please note that we are only taking checks, not cash. Just as a reminder, our mailing address is P.O. Box 395 Exeter, CA. 93221. We’re so glad this option is available again as we know not everyone has the ability to give electronically. Thank you so much for your generosity!

Thank you for being Jesus to those around you, for reaching out to the hurting, for being there for each other and our beloved city. Keep up the good work that God has called us to. Continue to press into God for inspiration of more ways to be His hands and feet. Don’t forget that the small things matter too. Ask Him what His Kingdom is doing and join in!

Blessings and peace to you from your church Staff
